How your Blog (Potentially) Replaced Emailing Friends

Sending neat links to your friends by email is easy, but what if you could just as easily encourage a dialogue among your friends and never have to dig through email to find that URL? If it were easy to blog a link and notify your friends about it we might do just that. I’m not talking about getting your friends to subscribe to an RSS feed, I’m talking good old fashioned mailto:

I emailed Tumblr about the idea, got a canned response, but they seem like good people.
